NOHA Spring School in Humanitarian Action at Vilnius (Lithuania) 16-20 April 2012
Humanitarian Action today has to take into account political, cultural, legal and health dimensions. NOHA (Network on Humanitarian Action) having the successful experience of the Fall Schools, organized since 2008 is expanding this initiative into the Baltic region and introducing NOHA Spring School which will be conducted by NOHA universities staff and field actors in order to provide professionals with a global approach and specific tools.
Objective
The Spring School aims at training professionals dealing with projects in Humanitarian Action (HA) in order to give them a critical overview of HA in a multidisciplinary perspective and the relevant information for evaluation of projects. New challenges in HA will also be examined.
Target audience
Civil servants, staff from local, international and civil society organizations, and more generally those who are involved in HA and feel the need to upgrade their basic knowledge and skills.

Admission
Admission is granted on the basis of the past education and/or experience in the field. Candidates should send a CV and a letter of motivation before 19th March, 2012
Certificates and diplomas
Students will be awarded with certificate from NOHA and Vilnius University.
Price
Participation fee covers all teaching materials during the course and daily lunch.
Price with accommodation 175 euro per person (accommodation at Vilnius University Guest house).
Price without accommodation 60 euro per person.
Partial reduction is available upon request.
Free-of-charge positions are available for ECHO staff members.
