NOHA is the starting point and a core component of HumanitarianNet, that is, the Thematic Network on Humanitarian Development Studies whose aim is to analyse the underlying causes of humanitarian crises and to formulate appropriate strategies for rehabilitation and development through educational programmes. The underlying philosophy is based on the importance of continuing and strengthening the support of a network of universities, specialised research centres and inter-governmental and non governmental organisations engaged in the formation of students and professionals in the field of humanitarian development studies. To this end, HumanitarianNet has its own series of publications to which NOHA Staff and Faculty actively contribute.
