The Joint European Master's in International Humanitarian Action has designed the following competencies:
I- Systemic Competencies:
Capacity to develop a global vision of the context of conflict, emergency, and vulnerable situations;
Capacity to develop an interdisciplinary understanding and comprehensive analysis of conflict and emergency situations;
Capacity to develop ways of coping with consequences of disasters and conflicts in close connection with beneficiaries, looking for durable and self-sustainable solutions;
Capacity to analyse complex emergencies and conflict situations;
Awareness of the potential impact of humanitarian action on the life of the beneficiaries;
Capacity to assess ways of intervention used by humanitarian aid agencies; and
Capacity to assess consequences of international intervention and programmes of reconstruction.
